Full mixture has 7.5L milk 12.5L water if we fetch 4L mixture according to ratio it will be 1.5L milk & 2.5L water,replace this mixture from the water then it will be 6L milk and 14L water then ratio will be 6/14=3:7.

Quantity of water in 16L of mix=16*(5/8)=10L
Quantity of water in 20L of new mix=(10+4)L
Quantity of milk in new mix=20-14=6L
then ratio=6/14=3:7

Total mixture is 20L
after removing 4L mixture 16L remain now
in 16L mix.. 16*3/8 milk and 16*5/8 water that is 6L milk and 10L water
now 4L water added water becomes 14L
now the ratio is 6:14 i.e. 3:7..

Let there be 8 litres. So, 3 litres of milk and 5 litres of water. 4 litres of milk will therefore contain 1.5 litre of milk and 2.5 litre of water. Remaining 1.5 litre milk and 2.5 litre water. Adding 4 litres of water results in the ratio 1.5 : (2.5 + 4) = 1.5:6.5 = 3:13
