the actual question with options is this :

given the following, which option must be true!?
1) a occurs only if either b or c occurs
2) b occurs only if both d and e occurs
3) f occurs only if c does not occur
4) g occur only if both a and f occur

A) a occur whenever f occur
B)f never occurs
C)g does not occur if d does not occur
D)none of these

the answer to this is C.) g does not occur if d does not occur.

here, g occurs only if both a and f occurs,
ans f occurs only if c does not occur., now that means that b has to occur for the occurance of a, (as a occurs only if b or c occurs).
now , b only occurs if d ans e occurs.

so if d does not occur, --> b does not occur --> a does not occur ---> g does not occur !
hence solved! :)

g occurs only if both a and f occurs,
ans f occurs only if c does not occur., now that means that b has to occur for the occurance of a, (as a occurs only if b or c occurs).

you say b does not occur then--> a does not occur
but according to 1) a occurs only if either b or c occurs.
A still occurs if b does not occurs
As if C occurs A can occurs.
