let cp = x.
as per ques,
900-x= 2(x-450)
=> x=600.
now, 25% profit on rs.600 yields rs. 150.
so, sp= 600+150= 750. option (b)

Let d original cost be x
When article is sold at 900 then he get profit so total profit is (900-x)
And when article is sold at 490 then he was in loss so total loss is (x-490)

Atq, profit is twice to loss
So, (900-x)=2(x-490)
x=626.666(original cost)

To get 25% profit-
626.66(25/100)=156.66

So price to get 25% profit is =156.66+626.66
=783.3 (ans)

Let C.P be Rs. x
900 - x = 2(x - 450)
=> x = Rs.600

C.P = 600 gain required is 25%
S.P = [(100+25)*600]/100
= Rs.750
