Let the two numbers are x and y
Now according to the question x+y = 14..(1) & 1/x + 1/y = 7/24.. (2)
Now from equation (2) we can write (x+y)/xy = 7/24
so 14/xy = 7/24
so xy = 24/7*14 = 48
Now (x-y)^2 = (x+y)^2-4xy
putting the value of x+y and xy we can get x-y = 2
now by solving x+y=14 and x-y = 2 we can get x= 8 & y = 6

A+B=14, 1/A+1/B=7/24 , taking A=14-B and putting it in 2nd equation gives A as 6,8 if 6 then B=8 if A=8 then B = 6.
