we have p+q=-r...(1)
and r+s=-p...(2)
from 1 and 2 we have
s=q.... (3)..
also from the 2nd quadratic equation we have
rs=q but we have found out that s=q therefore
r=1...(4)
and similarly p=1...(5)
putting the value of r and p in equation 1 and 2 we get s and q as -2 respectively.
thereforep+q+r+s=1-2+1-2= -2 ans

if there is a equation ax^2+bx+c=0
and the roots are A and B (let)
then A+B=-(b/a)
and A*B=(c/a)
rest part is explained by DIPEN JAIN
