the correct question is
. The figure below shows a “size 3” equilateral triangle divided up into 9 “size 1” equilateral triangles. The figure has 6 upward facing and 3 downward facing “size 1” equilateral triangles, 3 upward facing and no downward facing “size2” equilateral triangles and 1 upward facing “size 3” triangle. It has a total of 13 equilateral triangles of all sizes.The following size 6 triangle is divided up in the same way. What is the
number of triangles that has the marked point on a side or vertex.

it is 16 because size 6 has 3 size 3 triangles and from fig we get 16
