for first round 4*4C2=24
second round 2*4C2=12
1*4C2=6
FINAL=1
TOTAL=43

16 team divided in to 4 groups of 4 team each

let first group team contain a,b,c,d team
they can play with them self in 6 diff ways
2nd group=6 ways
3rd group=6 ways
4th group=6 ways

from this top 2 team selected total 8 team again they form two group of 4 team in each group
they can again arrange in 6 ways fir 1st and 2nd 6 ways

from this two group again top two selected total 4 team again 6 ways they can play
from this two team selected and this two team play final match 1
6+6+6+6+6+6+6+1=43

ans is 43..
in first round in every group there will be 6 matches..6*4=24
second round there will be total 12 matches..
semifinal round 6 matches...
final 1 match
so ans will be 43///////////////

total 16 teams 4 groups
so each group contain 4 groups,
each group can conduct 6 matches
in 1st round 6*4=24
2nd round 2*6=12
3rd round 1*6=6
final round 1
24+12+6+1=43

In each group, total matches played = 4C2 = 6.
So total matches played in the first round = 6 × 4 = 24
Now top two teams from each group progress to the next round. Now these 8 teams are pooled into 2 groups. Total matches played in the second round = 6 × 2 = 12
Now 4 teams progress to the next round. Total matches played in the third round = 6
From this round, 2 teams progress to the next round. And final will be played between them.
Total matches = 24 + 12 + 6 + 1 = 43
