let d=x
10=x/t1 1=x/t2
time duration from 7am to 1pm =6hours but waited there for 35 minute
total time for whole journey 5h25min
t1+t2=5h25min=65/12
x/10+x=65/12
x=325/66=4 61/66

let distance between the two place be x km
the time taken by cyclist to reach from place1 to place2 with speed of 10 km/hr=x/10 hr
wait time=35/60hr
the time taken by the cyclist from place2 to place1 with speed of 1 km/hr=x/1 hr
total time taken=6 hr
so x/10 +35/60 +x/1 =6
by calculation x=325/66
