(1/4)+(3/8)=.625
.625/2=5/16
cz here let biys=1 girls=1 so total =2

fraction of boys qualified= 1/4
fraction of girls qualified = 3/8
hence,fractional part of total no. of candidates who qualified=
(1/4*3/8)/{(1/4*3/8)+(3/4*5/8)} =1/6(ans)

{where 3/4= no. of not qualified boys, 5/8= no. of non qualified girls){using concept of probability}

if we take equal no of boys and girls are equal then ans is 5/16
but if boys and girls are not equal then cannot be determined
