sample space for flipping of two coins = {(H,T),(T,H),(H,H)}
P(TWO HEADS) = 1/3

Two coins are flipped.
One is shown head. So here we already got head. The probability is = 1.
Another one is either head or tail. So probability of getting head is =1/2.
So total probability is =1+1/2
=3/2.

Pls check this qn. How many 4 or 5 digit numbers can be formed by using 0, 1, 3, 5, 8. Repetition is not allowed. None of the given options is correct. No. of 4 digit nos that can be formed by using 0, 1, 3, 5, 8.( Repetition is not allowed.)=4*4*3*2=96 No. of 5 digit nos that can be formed by using 0, 1, 3, 5, 8.( Repetition is not allowed.)=4*4*3*2*1=96 Total No. of 4 digit or 5 digit nos that can be formed by using 0, 1, 3, 5, 8.( Repetition is not allowed.)=96+96=192

Two coins are flipped.
One is shown head. So here we already got head. The probability is = 1.
Another one is either head or tail. So probability of getting head is =1/2.
So total probability is =1+1/2
=3/2.

In question given that output is HEAD...so there are only 3 ways,

4th way TAIL-TAIL is not taken

so the P ( BOTH HEADS ) = 1/3

sample space for two coins are flipped is S = {HH, HT, TH, TT}
one of the output is known to be head therefore new sample space becomes S1 = {HT, HH, TH}
now getting the both heads probability is 1/3

1/2, according to the question it is known that one coin should show head but second one is doubt so the probability to show head is for one coin is 1/2, if it happen the two coins shows head
