Solution:15600 items

1 employee produces 300 items per day

1/3 of the employees were absent for 2/5 days of last week.
==> 4 employees were absent for 2 days.

Items produced by them in 3 days
= 300*3*4
=3600

Items produced by other employees
=8*5*300
=12000

Total items produced = 12000+3600
=15600

absence=2/5*1/3=2/15
so presence=13/15
totql item produced=13/15*18000=15600

no. of items produced by each employee per day = 300/12= 25
last week 1/3 of the employees were absent for 2/5 of the week .. means that for first 2 days only 8 employees worked instead of 12 ..
day 1 ( 8 employee ) = 8*25 = 200
day 2 ( 8 employee ) =8*25=200
day 3 (12 employee )=12*25=300
day 4 (12 employee )=12*25=300
day 5 (12 employee)=12*25=300


so total 1,300items
