ans =290/1100
explanation=>
between 1 to 99=19 distinct numbers contain 2.(count number 22 as 1 case)
100 to 199=19
200 to 299=100(every number has 2)
remaining all contains 19 in every 100 set
so
so 1 to 1100=19*10+100=290
hence
290/1100 is the answer

every consecutive 100 no contain 20 times each digit...
so
1-99=20 times two digit
100-199= 20 times two digit
300-400= 20 times two digit
!

!
!
1000-1100= 20 times two digit so total=20*10= 200 times
for 200-299= occurence of 2 in hundres place is 100, rest occurence will be 20 times so total of 2 digit in 200-299=120 times
therefor total occurence=200+120=320
so probability is 320/1100=16/55

1-100 19 times 2digits are coming like that upto 1100 we calculate 10 times.200-299 it occurs 100 times.

For 1-100 the number of 2 is 20,,(10 2's in unit digit & 10 2's in tens digit)
So for every 100s there will be 20 2's,, in 200 there are 100 2's,, so total number of 2's between 1-1100 is 11*20+100=320

from 1-100 2 comes in 19 digits and this pattern ,and in 200 to 300 it comes 100 times so,19 is repeated 10 times +100 times so total times is 190+100=290/1100 thus 29/110
