1) You can approach this problem by using Heron's formula for median where the lengths are 9, 12 and 15
A=2/3*9*12=72 cm^2
2) Median divides the centroid in the ration 2:1 from the vertex. considering the lower triangle where the segments are 6,8 and 10, A=0.5*6*8=24
Area of the triangle=3*24=72 cm^2
