7+5=270
1P=22.5
milk:water=157.5:112.5
157.5/17.5=9
because we have to mix water not milk s5
o milk is constant here
similarly
17.5*5=87.5
ans=87.5

total mixture 270
milk = 270/12*7=157.5
water 270/12*5=112.5

now new ratio is 9:5
and we can not add milk so we add water and ratio is water is to milk =9:5
so the 157.5/5*9=283.5
but there is water availabel is 112.5
so 283.5-112.5=171
so 171 liter of water is added to make ration 9:5
cross check

initial milk 157.5
initial water 112.5
added water 171
new water become
283.5
adn 283.5/157.5 and divided by 31.5 upper and lower we get 9:5
