Lets assume there are x girls . Each girl gets 50/100 Rs share while boy gets 100/100 Rs share.

So we Have,

x*1/2 + 45 * 1 = 39
x = - 12 (-ve sign here indicates that if we have 45 boys each getting 1 Rs would exceed 39 Rs. So ignore -ve sign).
So if there are 12 girls , Total amount girls will receive = 12* 0.5 = 6Rs
Remaining 33 Rs has to be shared amongs boys.
As each boy receives 1Rs so We can say we have total 33 Boys.

So 33*1 + 12*.5 = 39 Rs ---- Verified.

lets assume there are x girls then boys=45-x.
so x*0.5+45-x=39
x=12 i.e girls hence boys is 45-12=33.
