by using the formula of M1D1=M2D2
8M*12=8M*6+12*x
96=48+12x
x=4

Total work= 96
For 6 days, 8 men do 8*6= 48 part of the work
Remaining work=96-48 i.e. 48
Now ,More 4 more men gets added to the work
So total number of men presently to do the work= 8+4=12 men
Therefore the remaining part of the work will be completed in 48/12= 4 days(Answer)

1 day 1 man capacity =1/(8*12)
A/Q,
1=(6*8)/(8*12) + (12*x)/(8*12)
=> x=4
