let the no.of cakes with the first child be f
let the no.of cakes with the second child be s
let the no.of cakes with the remaining children (i.e total no.of cakes with 3rd children to 7th children) be x
now we have to find out x;
total cakes =f+s+x
f gave his cakes such that no of cakes with each child got doubled and still he was left with 4 cakes
f-2*(s+x)=4
it means that he gave s+x and stil he is left out with 4
so f-(s+x)=4
f=4+s+x................................. eq1
soming to the second condition, S has taken 2 cakes from the remaining 6 ppl and finally had 3 cakes less than f
so s+(2*6)=f-3
f=s+15...................... eq2
from eq1 and eq2
4+s+x=s+15
x=11

so the no.of cakes with third child to seventh child = 11

let the number of cakes with the first child be 'x'
with second be 'y'
1.given if first child distributes his cakes to the remaining 6 children such that he doubles their respective no. of cakes,then he will be left with four cakes.
after distribution number of cakes with second child will be '2y'.

2.If if the 2 child takes away 2 cakes from each of the remaining 6 children,then he will be left with 2 cakes less than the no. of cakes that the first child initially had.
that means, he has to collect 12 cakes.
y+12 = x-3
x = 15+y

if first child distributes the cakes the number of cakes that second child would receive will be 'y', as he doubles the initial number.
after distributing to second child, first child will be left with 15 cakes, if he left with 4 cakes after distributing all the cakes that means he distributed 11 cakes to remaining children.

since everyone doubled their number the total number of those remaining children could be 11.
