after 8 yrs,
fathers age=11x+8
sons age=3x+8
average age of a man and his son=64
[(11x+8)+(3x+8)]/2=64
(11x+8)+(3x+8)=128
14x+16=128
14x=112
x=8
Fathers age=11*8 + 8 = 96
sons age= 3*8 +8= 32
Ratio = 96:32
= 3:1

Let the present ages of the son and the father be 11x and 3x years respectively.
Then, (11x + 3x)/2 = 64
14x = 128
x = 8.
Required ratio = (11x + 8) : (3x + 8) = 96 : 40 = 9 : 5.
So the answer is C.
