as we have to divide it by 99 a 2 digit no we will separate the number as a group of 2digits ie, 12-12-12....upto 300times
which gives=12*300=3600
again we will separate 3600 as a group of 2digits number 36 and 00
which gives=36+00=36
now,36/99 gives remainder 36
therefore 36 is the ans.
