suppose x kg of pure copper is melted with 10kg of Ist alloy and 16 kg of 2nd alloy , then
Pure cooper in new alloy = 10*4/5 + 16*1/4 +x = 12+x kg
Pure tin in new alloy = 10*1/5+ 16*3/4 = 14 kg
As per given condition
(12+x)/14 = 3/2
24+2x= 42
x=9 kg

Total weight of new alloy = 10+16+9=35 kg

In 1kg of 1st alloy copper =800gm and tin =200gm
in 2nd alloy 1kg contains copper =250 gm and tin -750 gm
10 kg of 1st alloy + 16 kg of second alloy contains copper = 8000+4000=12000
and tin = 14000
given (12000+x)/14000=(3/2)
24000+2x=42000
x=9000
total weight=12000+9000+14000=35000=35kg

after melting together,
there would be 12KG of copper, 14KG of tin and some pure copper,let it be 'x'.
From given data,
(12+x):14 = 3:2
=> 24+2x=42 => x = 9
i.e,9Kg pure copper is added(melted) with two alloys.
now weight of new alloy = 10 + 16 + 9
= 35 kg
