i think the answer is-> profit 5 pound..
sol.-> 1st buy for 15 pound, sell it for 20 pound. so profit=(20-15)=5 pound.
again he buy the same horse for 30 pound. so he loss..(30-20)=10 pound.
then he sell it for 40 pound. so he made profit=(40-30)=10 pound. so, loss=profit=10 pound. it deletes.... he actually now profit 5 pounds.. :)

Since the total cost price for that person comes out to be 45 and total selling price is 60 whatever be the scenario is.

Total cost price=(15+30)=45
Total selling price=(20+40)=60
Profit=(60-45)=15
profit% = (15*100)/45
=33.33%

he got the profit of 15 ponds because at frst he buys a horse for 15 ponds n sells it fr 20 so the profit is 5 pounds upto now..,n next he buys the same horse for 30ponds so he got loss for 25ponds n finally he sells that horse for 40 ponds so.., totally he got 15ponds profit
