total numbers 51
solution:
left most digit is either 3 or 4 ( 2 ways )
and remaining digits can be 2 or 3 or 4
so no. of numbers 2 * 3 * 3 * 3 = 54
but only two 2's can be used so 3222, 4222 are not possible
and only three 3's can be used so 3333 is not possible
54 - 3 = 51 ways
