therefore , x=312*4/24=52

Given: HCF=4 and LCM=312. Let the two numbers be n1 and n2. It is given that n1=24. We have to find the value of n2.
We know that HCF(n1,n2)* LCM(n1,n2)= n1*n2
i.e the product of HCF anf LCM for two numbers n1 and n2n is equals to the product of the numbers.
Thus;
n2=4*312/24
n2=52
