dividing by 2y with numerator nd denominator we get, (4x/2y+1)/(4x/2y-1) = (4*2+1)/(4*2-1) = 9/7 answer

we can write [2(x/y)+1]/[2(x/y)-1]
put value x/y=4 we get [2*4+1]/[2*4-1]=9/7

so, x/y=2*2 -> x/y=4/1 now put x=4 and y=1 in the given expression i.e
(4x+2y)/(4x-2y)=(4*4+2*1)/(4*4-2*1)=18/14=9/7 (EASY)

by using componendo and dividendo rule , we can try this question...
4x+2y/4x-2y = 4x+2y+4x-2y/4x+2y-4x+2y = 8x/4y = 2x/y....(1)
as we have given that x/2y=2; x/y=4
now by putting the value of x/y in equation (1)
we will get 2*4=8
Hence 8 can be an answer for this question.
