let area of cylinder=A
& area of cone=B
acc. to ques,
A=B+500 .....(1)
A-200=2(B-200) .....(2)
from (1) &(2)
A=1200
volume of fuel when cylinder is full=1200 lts

consider the colonical tank contains x lts
cylindrical tank then contains x+500 lts
after pumping of 200 lts from each tank..... now the tanks cntain x-200 lts & x+300 lts
x+300=2(x-200)
x=700 lts
originally cylindrical tank contains x+500 lts
therefore ans is 700+500= 1200 lts

let the amount of fuel present in conical tank=x
then fuel in cylindrical tank is=500+x
200 lit of fuel was pumped out of each tank then
remaining is
(300+x)=2(x-200)
x=700
total amount of fuel in cylindrical tank=(500+700)=1200lit

x+300=2(x-200)
x=700lts
already there is 500 lts
therefore x+500=700+500=1200lts

Let the cylindrical tank capacity x + 500 then the conical tank capacity = x
After 200 lts pumped out, then remaining fuel with the tanks = x +300, x - 200
Given that first term is doubt the second.

Solving we get x = 700
