As per ques,a=(120/100)*b
=>a=(6/5)*b
therefore,b=(5/6)*a
Now,a & b complete the work in 60 days
=>(1/a)+(1/b)=60
=>(1/a)+(5/6a)=60
=>a=110

a=1.2b
a=6/5b
b=5/6a
1/a+1/b=1/60
1/a+5/6a=1/60
11/6a=60
a=110

A+B=1/60
A=(6/5)B
6x+5x=1/60
x=1/660
A's 1 day work=6*1/660=1/110
A can complete work in 110 days

@arindam : why did you take 1/b=5/6a ??? because
b=5a/6 so 1/b must be 6/5a..!!!

A's 1 day work + B 's 1 day work= 1/60
since , A=(1+20/100)B => A=6/5B
A+B=1/60
dividing both sides by A
1+B/A=1/60A
A=1/110
A=110 days

@arindam why dont you consider 20% efficient as taking lesser time to complete the same work?

110 days ............as let us think b completes y amount pf work in one day then a completes y+y/5=6y/5 s combining a and b they perfoem 11y/5 amount of work per days they completed work in 60 days so total work=60(11y)/5=660y/5
now only a work speed=distance/time so time=d/s=660y/5/6y/5=110 days

as question b=(5/6)a
a+(5/6)a=(11/6)a
a:(11/6)a::60:x
x=(11/6)a*60/a=110

@ISHAN yes man that will be also correct,but i approached the problem that way nd so continued it in my manner,taking 20% efficiency will increase da efficiency of da problem..:)
