please mention question clearly now onwards.

the total mixture quantity=20 litre.
so,milk = 20*(3/8)=7.5
water = 12.5 (20-7.5)

when 4 litre removed,water and milk will become less in same ratio

milk = 7.5 - (4*3/8) = 6 litre
water = 12.5 - (4*5/8) = 10 litre

when 4 litre water added ,
water amount = 10+4 = 14.
ratio = 6/14 = 3/7

quantity of milk in 16 litres of mix=16*5/8=10 lit
quantity of milk in 20 lit of new mix=10+4=14
water in it=20-14=6
milk:water=14:6=7:3

volume of water=5/8*20;
Volume of milk=3/8*20;
Volume of milk remaining= 3/8*16; (4 litres taken out)
=6
Volume= remaining portion + 4litres (water)
=5/8*16 +4
=10+4
=14
milk:water =6:14 =3:7

3x+5x=20
x=2.5
milk = 3*2.5=7.5
water= 5*2.5=12.5
now remove 4 litre of mixture
quantity of mixture left = 16 litre
milk left = 3*16/8 = 6 litre
water left = 5*16/8 = 10 litre
Add 4 litre of milk to the mixture
milk in mixture = 6+4 = 10 litre
water = 10 litre
Hence ratio = 10:10 = 1:1

ankur,only last step is wrong.we r replacing 4l of water nor milk.

ans is 7:33,3x+5x=20 so x=5/2.
new ratio is 3x-4:5x+4 we get 7:33
