let a be tens digit and b be unit digit.
from question
2/3 of (10a+b)= 10(a-3)+(b+1)
solving we get 10a+b=87;hence the no is 87.further division according to question is required

actually the right question is:
2-3 of a two digit number is equal to a number whose ten's place is three less than the ten's place of the two digit number and unit's place is one more than the unit's place of the two digit number.Then find the quotient when the square of the two digit number is divided by 261.

2 digit number is (a *10) + b

2 /3 (a*10 + b) = 10*(a - 3) + (b+1) when solve this equation we can get 10x + y = 87.

87*87/261 = 29. So Answer is 29
