M1*D1/w1=M2*D2/W2

M1=45
D1=100
W1=2.5
M2=45+x
D2=200
w2=(15-2.5)=12.5

45*100/2.5=(45+x)(200)/12.5
200x=13500
x=67.5
i.e 68(Approx)

Option D is Answer

Let x be the total men required to finish the task in next 200 days

2.5 km done hence remaining is 12.5 km
Also, work has to be completed in next 200 days (300 - 100 = 200)

We know that, proportion of men to distance is direct proportion
and, proportion of men to days is inverse proportion

Hence, X = (45 * 12.5 * 100) / (2.5 * 200)
thus, X = 112.5 that is approximately 113

Thus, more men needed to finish the task = 113-45=68

Formula=>> M1D1W2=M2D2W1

(45)(300)(2.5)=(45+x)(100)(15)

45*300*2.5/100*15=45+x

9*2.5=45+x

22.5=45+x

therefore x=22.5

total no.of man after 100 day to complete the work in time is =45+22.5=67.5=68(approx)

The total work to be done is building a 15 Km road.
In 100 days, 45 persons can complete only building 2.5 Km of the road.
The question is, how many more men are required to complete the remaining work in specified number of days.
Therefore, the remaining work to be done is, 15-2.5= 12.5
In 100 days, 45 men can build 2.5 Km road.
In remaining 200 days, some x number of persons should build 12.5 Km road.
Hence,
100* 45* 12.5 = 2.5* 200* x
x= 112.5
x= 113(approx.)

Therefore, additional persons required are (113-68)=68
Option d is the correct answer.
