i think some values are missing in the series it should be:
1,7,8,49,50,56,57,343,344,350,351,393,394,399,400 and the solution is:
1*7=7,7+1=8
7*7=49,49+1=50,8*7=56,56+1=57
49*7=343,343+1=344,50*7=350,350+1=351,56*7=392,392+1=393,57*7=399,399+1=400
so next will be 343*7=2401(Ans)

there is a mistake in this series.
the correct serious should be

next no. = 2400+1=2401

406 as the series is like, +1,+6,+1,*6+1...therefore 400+6=406

the series is wrong.the correct series is 1,7,8,49,50,56,57,343,344,350,351,2107
...
a set of 4 numbers should be considered...
1-7=6
8-7=1
8*6+1=49 for next number add +1
56-50=6
57-56=1
57*6+1=343 and so on
