The answer will be X.
Because the series is in A.P 1+2+3+4+5+....
so Sn=n[n+1]/2 is 288,,,
for putting n=23 the value will be 276.
and for putting n=24 the value will be 300.
so the 23 terms in alphabet is W which is finished after 276.
and the 24 terms in alphabet is X which is lies between 277 to 300.
And 288 lies between these two above digits.
So the answer will be X.

a=1, b=2, c=3,... y=25, z=26
total terms of series=1+2+3+4+...+25+26(last 26 terms will be z)
=26(26+1)/2=351
351-26=325
(326 to 351 will be z)
325-25=300
(301 to 325 will be y)
300-24=276(277 to 300 will be x)
so 288 terms is x

divide 288 by 26..we get remainder as 2..now subtract 2 from 26 so 26-2=24 which means x.

it corresponds to a=1 , b=2,... so it is A.P gives 1,1+2=3, 1+2+3=6.. going.. so we can get 1+2+3...+10 =55
11+12+13...+20=155 so 55+155+21+22+23=276 . in which 23rd ie., x would be running
so ans is x

AS THE NUMBER OF ENG ALPHABET IS 26.AND GIVEN FINAL TERM IS 288.NOW FIRSTLY WE DIVIDE 288 BY 26 AND GET REMINDER IS 2 . IN GENERAL CONCEPT 26TH TERM WILL MAY BE SOMETHING,ABOUT 300 AND WE HAVE TO FIND 288 TH TERM WHICH IS LESS THEN 300 SO NEGLECTING THE EXTRA 2 REMINDER TERM THUS OUR FINAL WILL BE 24 ,WHICH IS NOTHING BUT 'X',THE ANSWER WILL BE X.

sorry i calculated the sum wrong. 1+2+3+..+26=351.. so ans will be x as 351-26=325, 325-25=299, 298-24=274

Y.. AS a=1 times, b=2 times...z=26 times..so total term= 1+2+3..+26=325
now 325-26=299 so 299-325 term contains z, and 298-25=273 so 273 to 298 terms contain y so 288th term will be y.

ans is x.as if we take a series as 1,2,3,4,5....and we have upto its 24th term the sum is 288.as 24 th alphabet is x ans is x
