question is wrng,data missng
the qtn is 5, 9, 12, 18, 26, 36, 47, 72, _?
then
Ans:75
Here In odd places, multiples of 7 are added i.e 5,5+7(=12),12+14(=26),26+21(=47),47+28(=75).
Similarly for even numbers i.e multiples of 9 are added.

5, 9, 12, 18, 26, 36, 47, 72, _?
it is 5 ...... 12....... 26......... 47
12= 5+7
26= 12+2×7
47=26+3×7
Next is 47+4×7=75
and 9, 18, 36, 72 hence next 144
Therefore 5, 9, 12, 18, 26, 36, 47, 72, 75, 144

In case of even place how multiples of 9 are adding?
9+9*1=18
18+9*2=36
36+9*3=63(but in series it 72 )

firstly considering corresponding series term 5 ...... 12....... 26......... 47
having logical arrangement as follows;
12= 5+7
26= 12+2×7
47=26+3×7
Next is 47+4×7=75
and for the dropped series elements,they follows previous term*2 =final one so 9, 18, 36, 72 hence next 144
Therefore 5, 9, 12, 18, 26, 36, 47, 72, 75, 144

there is one term missing in the given series...i.e 26 aftr 18 .....
ans will be 75..
in odd places, multiple of 7 are added.
12= 5+7

series must be such like 5,9,12,18,26,36,47,72,75.....but in this series 26 missed, so question is wrong, but all solution r correct
