average age = (45*4 +16 +49)5
=49

it is given before 4 years,so present age after 4 years of 4 men is 4*4=16,
4 years before sum of their age is 45*4,so, ans is (45*4+16+49)/5=49

thus, x=45+4=49
Thus the average age of 4 person now=49

going 4 years back when the average was 45 of four persons. this implies at that time the combined age was 180. now adding 16 years we get the current sum of ages to be 196 and adding 49 of 5th person it becomes 245. hence average now must be 245 divided in 5 which is 49

Four years hence(i.e now) their avg age=45+4 yrs
One person whose age is 49 yrs joins them
Hence avg=49

x=45*4=180
so present sum of ages=180+(4*4)=196
now,adding age of man=196+49=245
