On Monday, he counts 189 roses in the garden. He plucks the roses as per his plan on consecutive days and the new roses bloom as per intelligence of the plants mentioned above. According to options lets check for the increase in flowers....
when he plucks 7 flowers next day 37 more flowers grow.
terefore a total increase of 30 flowers are there (37-7).
now adding 30 flowers in 189 we get=219.
next day adding another 30 flowers we get =249.
so the option (b) 249 is the correct answer.

simply find out the difference between the roses plucked and bloom for each day.
it would be(37-7),(36-6),(9-24),(18-23)
implies 30,30,-15,-5
- indicates that no of roses decrease by that no.
initially no of roses=189
after 1 day roses= 189+30=219
on second day=219+30=249... we stop here as the option matches

The possibilities can be that 30 roses increase per day or, 15 or 5 roses decrease per day (by subtracting the no.of roses plucked & number of roses grown per day). So, the unit place number can be 0 or 5 different from the unit place of initial no. of roses i.e., it can be 9 or 4. Thus, the only answer matching is (b) 249.
