a man cannot remember the number larger than 15. However he remember any number upto 100 by remembering the three numbers obtained as remainders when the numbers is divided by 3,7 and 11 respectively. he remembers that he had (2,4,8) rupees in his purse. and he paid (2,5,4)rupees to the servant. How much money is left in the purse?

the number that satisfies the all remainders of 2,4,8 by numbers 3,7,11 respectively is 74.
and the the number that satisfies the all remainders of 2,5,4 by numbers 3,7,11 is 26.
hence the remaining money is=74-26=48
ans is 48

take the number which gives remainder as 8 when divide with 11 below 100.they are
19 30 41 52 63 74 85 96 and in that take numbers which gives 2 as remainder when divide with 3 are 41,74 then in this which gives remainder 4 when divide with 7 is 74 like wise we can do for paid amount also.

the total amount must be one of... 11x+8(19,30,41,52,63,74,85,96)... thus 74 is total amount.. and paid amount must be 11x+4 (15,26,37,48,59,70,81,92)... 26 satisfies all conditions thus money left (76-26=48)
