consider 4 cases :
case a:x>0,y>0 =>equation: x+2y=100
case b:x0 =>equation: -x+2y=100
case c:x>0,yequation: x-2y=100
case d:xarea = 4*(1/2(50*100))=10,000 square unit

@priya satsangi becauze when u draw the graph for all of 4 equations, u will see that lines cuts x and y axis at (0,-50),(0,50),(100,0),(-100,0). So area bounded by them will be = area bounded by (0,-50) and (-100,0) + area bounded by (0,-50) and (100,0) + area bounded by (0,50) and (-100,0) + area bounded by (0,50) and (100,0)
= 4 * area bounded by (0,-50) and (-100,0)
(as graph is symmetric about x and y axis)

4 lines..
x+2y=100; x-2y=100; -x+2y=100; -x-2y=100
each area = 2500 => total area = 4*2500 =10,000

But, y area is multiplied by 4??
It shud b 1/2*(50*100).
