there are two series with alternate terms
(.7,1.2,1.7,2.2, ) and (1.2,2.2,3.2,4.2, )
both series are AP with cd .5 & 1 respectively
so next two terms are
2.2+.5=2.7 & 4.2+1=5.2

here 0.7,1.2,1.7,2.2 the difference between two adjacent numbers is 0.5 so
2.2+0.5=?
so ans: 2.7

2.2-1.2=1.0
3.2-1.7=1.5
4.2-2.2=2.0
moreover
difference between 2nd and 3rd,4th and 5th ,5th and 6th is 0,0.5,1.0respectively.
therefore diff. between 6th and 7th will be 1.5
i.e. 4.2-1.5=2.7

if we consider the series in 2 parts,the we get-
(0.7,1.2,1.7,2.2__) and (1.2,2.2,3.2,4.2,__)
so for the first one if we add 0.5 to each term,we get the final ans as 2.7 i.e.
0.7+0.5=1.2
1.2+0.5=1.7
1.7+0.5=2.2
2.2+0.5=2.7
and the second one will be obtained by adding 1.0 to each term,i.e.----
1.2+1.0=2.2
2.2+1.0=3.2
3.2+1.0=4.2
4.2+1.0=5.2
thus the two ans are--2.7 and 5.2

this is alternate series.
.7+.5= 1.2, 1.2+1.0= 2.2, 1.7+1.5= 3.2, 2.2+2.0 = 4.2 ;
1.2-0= 1.2, 2.2-0.5= 1.7, 3.2-1.0= 2.2, 4.2-1.5= 2.7
hence ans: 2.7

difference between them is 0.5,0,1.0,-0.5,1.5,-1.0,2.0....again take difference between differences we get 0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5,3.0...next difference will be 3.5 so answer is 2.7

from left to right alternately .5 is being added(.7+.5=1.2,1.2+.5=1.7,1.7+.5=2.2,2.2+.5=2.7) so the ans is 2.7.
