given the dimensions of the room
i.e. length = 4m
breadth = 5m
height = 2m
also 17 bricks need to make 1 square meter.
to make floor we need length and breadth not height
therefore, Area of floor = length *breadth
Area = 4m * 5m = 20square meter
Therefore No. of bricks required = 17 *20 = 340 ANSWER

area of floor= length*breadth
= 4*5= 20 sqr mtr
no of bricks to cover floor= area of floor*no of bricks required per sqr mtr
= 20*17=340 bricks

Since the length of the room is 4m and the breadth is 5m, therefore area of the floor is 5*4 = 20m^2.

since it takes 17 bricks to make to make 1m^2 therefore 20m^2 will take 20*17 = 340 bricks.
