number is less than a million so it would be between 1 to 9,99,999 we can have at most 6 digit no. the total 6 digit no can be made is 3^6=729 bt digit should be greater than 0 so 000000 is not possible.total no. of digits can be made=729-1=728
ans =728

The number is > than 0 and < than 1,000,000.
So maximam it can have 6 digits.
Using 0,7,8 numbers 1 digit,2 digit,3 digit.... and so on can be formed.

Number of 1 digit numbers =2 (7or 8)
Number of 2 digit numbers =6(2*3)
Number of 3 digit numbers =18(2*3*3)
Number of 4 digit numbers =54(2*3*3*3)
Number of 5 digit numbers =162(2*3*3*3*3)
Number of 6 digit numbers =486(2*3*3*3*3*3)
Total number of digits =728
