decrease in salary in single shot =38.8%
first decease =20% let the salary be 100 then it will become 80
2nd decrease is= 15%. 15% of 80 =12 then salary become 68
3rd decrease is of 10% . 10% of 68 =6.8.then salary become 61.2
so overall decrease=38.8%

salary after 3 steps of decrease = x*(.8)*(.85)*(.9) = .612 x
decrease in salary = x-.612 x=.388
i.e 38.8% of decrease in single step

using percentage change graph
let salary will be 100
1st decrease is 20% then 100 become 80
2nd decrement 15% then 80 become 68
3rd decrement 10 the 68 become 61.2

so 100-61.2=38.8
so decrement in single shot is 38.8%

since the percentage is decreasing so
(-20-15+300/100)=-35+3=-32%
then (-32-10+320/100)=-42+3.2=-38.8%
minus sign indicates decrease of 38.8%
