@Roy : " No two sisters give the same combination " means that no two sister gives same pattern of giving gifts ( e.g. if A gives 4 gifts to B then no other sisters can give four to other one.)
my patter is
A=1 gift each 4 sisters
i.e B C D E
B=4 gifts to 1 sister
i.e A A A A
C=3 gifts to 1 sister and 1 gift to another1 sister
i.e E E E D
D=2 gift to 1 sister and 2 gift to another1 sister
i.e B B C C
E=2 gifts to 1 sister and 1 gift to other1 sister and 1 to another 1 sister
i.e D D B C

The question itself has the answer...since each sister receives 4 gifts...so D also receives 4 gifts :)

Question is wrong: D should get exactly 4 gifts. To get 4, options are to get 1 gift from 1 sis , 2 gift from another and then no other combination left. Hence incorrect question

Hey sangram!! How come A and C both give 1 gift to D because in question it is given that "No two sisters
give the same combination" ??? Can u explain this?

A will give 2 to D,as B has already given 4 to A so it will not give anything to D,C will give 1 to D because she has already given 3 to E and E cant give anything to D because all the combinations are fulfilled and cant be repeated.
