Using the numerical equivalent of alphabets, we have the following

A=1 P=15 L=12 and E=5

we start at this pattern

-A^2 + P^2 - P^2 + L^2 - E^2

= -(1)^2 + (16)^2 - (16)^2 + (12)^2 - (5)^2
= -1 + 256 - 256 + 144 - 25 = 118

for MONKEY, M=13, O=15, N=14, K=11, E=5 and Y=25 (large numbers XD)

so the formula would be

-(13)^2 + (15)^2 - (14)^2 + (11)^2 - (5)^2 + (25)^2

According to Alphabets numbers -- APPLE = 50
Now APPLE is coded = 118
so 118-50 = 68
According to Alphabets numbers -- MONKEY = 83
so 83+68 = 151
so MONKEY is coded as _____________151_________________

According to alphabet number...
a=1 p=16 l=12 e=5
so, if we add the value of apple(1+16+16+12+5=50)then we get 50..
and we have code value 118...now 118-50=68..
This 68 value will be added in the value of monkey...
Like that the value of monkey(13+15+14+11+5+25)=83..
so...83+68=151(this is the monkey's code..)...
