1 min. filling =1/48
1 min. empty=1/(2*60)
In 1 min. tank will be filled (1/48)-[1/(2*60)]=1/80
So tank will completely filled in 80 min. from the start
So 11:40+ 80 min=1:00 PM

The ans is 1.00PM
1) first make two given values are same in format(units)...
(48mins & 120mins)
2) take a lcm of two numbers is 240
3) now we can find a 1min value
4) in 1 min the tap fill the tank 5 lit...(240/48)
5) in 1 min the another tap empty the tank 2 lit...(240/120)
6) so the net value of the tank filled by 1min is 3lit...
7) so finally the tank filled after 80 mins (1hr 20mins)
8) if both taps are opened at 11.40 so the tank to be filled after 1.00PM
