In 3 bananas, we can select: 0 or 1 0r 2 or 3 bananas =4 ways
In 4 Apples ,we can select: 0 or 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 apples =5 ways
=> Bananas or apples are selected=5*4 ways=20
=> But condition is ,we can select one or more fruits,so(zero banana and zero apple combination is omitted)
=> so,finally number of ways of selecting one or more fruits is=20-1=19

Number of ways in which atleast one object may be selected out of 'p' alike objects of one type and 'q' alike objects of second type is,

(p+1)*(q+1)-1 = (3+1)*(4+1) - 1
=4*5-1
=20-1
=19

3 bananas + 4 apples = 7 fruits

no. of ways to select one or more fruits = 7C1 + 7C2 + ...+ 7C7 = (2^7 -1)
