Let when I was married the avg age of my family was x years and total age=6x
Now total age is 6x +60. So my father's age was 60...

If x was average age 10 years ago, then total age 10 years ago = 10x.
Total age of 6 persons before death of father = 10x+60
Total age of 6 persons ( excluding father and adding son of zero age) after death of father = 60x as average of family is x again.

Hence age of father at time of death = x+60-x = 60 years

let the fathers age 10 years back be x years
so present age when he died is x+10 years .
now assume the age of the rest of the members to be y years.
so the average age of the 6 members 10 years ago would be (x+y)/6...eqn1
now ,at the present time the father has died so x becomes 0 and the tatal age of the rest of the family members ha increased by (5*10)years..it shuld be noted that the age of the new baby is 0.so the eqn 2 becomes (y+50)/6 =the average age.
on solving we get x=50 .
so the present age =x+10=50+10=60
