this question based on imagination, so put the value of x,y,a,b=1/root 2
given in que...
x2+a2=y2+b2=ax+by=1
now put the value of x,y,a,b=1/root 2
((1/root 2))2+((1/root 2))2=((1/root 2))2+((1/root 2))2=(1/root 2)(1/root 2)+(1/root 2)(1/root 2)=1
condition satisfy then,
=a2+b2
=((1/root 2))2+((1/root 2))2
=1 (Ans)
