then,(1/40)+(1/x)= 1/24
1/x= 1/60
x=60

Let the completed job = 1
A shared work equation
24/40 + 24/t = 1
reduce the fraction
3/5 + 24/t = 1
multiply eq by 5t, results
3t + 5(24) = 5t
120 = 5t - 3t
120 = 2t
t = 60 min aloneLet t = time for 2nd person to do the job
Let the completed job = 1

for example take they need to complete articles
total work is 120articles
1st person per day work is 3articles
so,first person can complete 72articles(3*24)in 24 minutes,
remaining work is 120-72=48articles
second person complete these 48 work in 24 days,
hence his per day work is 2articles
then he need 60 min to complete 120articles

AB/(A+B)=24
A*40/(40+A)=24
A=60min
