if you take no. any other then 10968 and if you add 78633 it wont be a 5 digit number after adding. nd if you choose any no. starting with 0XXXX you wont get a no. which on moving upside down you can read it as it was.

5 different numbers that can be read upside down are 0,1,2,5,8 (all numbers written in digital style)
number is 01582.

statement says the number consisted of 5 digits..doesn't mean necessarily that the number is a 5-digit number.

only 19806 are the no which can read when it is written in upside down order.

@Rakesh No. that can be written upside down are 0,1,2,6,8,9
So what is the reason behind leaving 2 instead of 0. You can take 2 also and form the no. by adding to 78633.reply soon

1,0,9,6,8 are only the numbers which can be read as it is... you can try it at http://www.upsidedowntext.com/ by typing different number as 3,4 etc..

now as 10968+78633=89601 is the answer.. if you take any other combination then it will exceed the 5 digit number..
