The ans should be y but as it is not in the option,may be this sequence follows gap of +2, +4, +6 then again repeating +2, +4.... hence the answer could be (c) s

answer is y bcoz,after a there is a difference of two letters,,
then after d there is a difference of 4 letters and after i der is a difference of 6 letters.
similarly,after p there should be difference of 8 letters ..hence answer should be y...
but it is not in the option.

actually the ans is Y which is not in the option how i arrived at this is between a and d there are 2 letters and between d and i there are 4 letters and then between i and p there are 6 letters so after 8 letters it is y , but not in the option so as per the option i hope suppose i consider the

why is y not in option?
the logic is that every alphabet is in a series with the next.
just like a-d = 3, d-i = 5, i-p = 7, similarly p-y = 9 it should have been.

r is the answer .Because, a-d=3(difference), d-i=5, i-p=7 and so on ,as we don't have 'y ''in the options we have to subtract 1 from the difference i.e. 3-1=2, 5-1=4, 7-1=6, 9-1=8, hence the difference between 2,4,6,8 is 2 so the letter 'r'
