In a (200-15)=185 meters race B defeat C by (19-15)=4 meters.
so in 3700 meters B will defeat C by 4*3700/185=80 meters

When B reaches to the final point then C will be 181*200/185 m behind.
now applying unitary method we get: 3700*181/185= 3620
thus B defeat C by 80 meters.

Friends difference 4 meter is when B is 15 meter away from finish line, but B win only when comes at finish line.
So 74 meter is completely wrong.

look at distance covered by them

A covered 200m
B covered 185m
C covered 181m

now B covered 185m and C covered 181m ......so in the race of 185m B defeat C by 4 m

hence in race of 3700 ... (4/185)3700 = 80 meter

distance of A - distance of B = 15 meters //for 200 m race , given
distance of A - distance of C = 19 meters // for 200 m race, given
( Va*t) - ( Vb*t ) = 15 //equation 1
( Va*t ) - ( Vc*t ) = 19 // equation 2

so subtracting equation 1 from 2 , we get
(Vb*t) - (Vc*t) = 4 meters
which means the difference in distance of B and C will be a multiple of 4 always.
and in the options given , only 80 is the multiple of 4, so ans in 80

therefore b/c=185/181
multiply both num and denom by 20
b/c=3700/3620
therefore diff is 80

If A is at 200m then B=200-15=185m
and
C=200-19=181m
Therefore,
When B is at 3700 then
C=(181/185)X3700=3620
Ans=80

in 200 meters when a runs 200 m then b runs 185m and c runs 181m so in 200 m the difference in their distance is 4m.. i.e 4 m in 200 meter so in 100 meter it will be 2 meter. now 100*37 = 3700 meter and therefore 2*37 = 74. ans

for every 100 meters B is 2 m away.
so for 3700 m B beat C by 37*2=74 m

Difference between B and C is 4meters.
For 200meters the difference is 4meters than for 3700meters the difference is
(4*3700)/200= 74meters.

(3700/200)*4 m ahead = 74 m ahead

b's caliber in 200mts race 185/200 , c's caliber in 200mts race 181/200 ,b's caliber in 3700mts race.. 185/200*3700=3422.5 , c's caliber in 3700 mts race ..181/200*3700=3348.5 so 3422.5-3348.5 = 74

The answer should be 80.because when a run 200meters.then b run 185m and c run 181 m.so when b run 185 than c run 181.so when b run 3700m than c should run 3620.so b beat c 80m

In 200m
Let B covers x m.
So,in 400 B will cover 2x m.
Similarly in 3700 m B wil cover (37x/2)m.
Let C covers y m in 200m race.
So,in 3700 m race C will cover (37y/2)m.
From Questn..
x+15=200 & y+19=200
=>x=185 & y=181
distance between B & C=(37*x)/2-(37*y)/2
Substituting x &y
distance=74m.

from given data, A,B,C has covered 200m,(200-15)=185m,(200-19)=181m respectively. Here B defeat c by (185-181)=4m using unitary method, 185:4::3700:? (3700*4)/185=80m
